If you'd like then sure! Worm is indeed a whole lot of superhero canon, although it's quite dark, all things considered. Marissa is a minor character in it, being one of the members of a villain group that got some focus in one arc of the story. Most people wouldn't recognize the canon unless they are into reading webserials, as it's not mainstream in the slightest despite its popularity in the web literature circles, really, so it's up to you if she's even aware of the canon.
