She’s a little versed in internet culture! IMO Gwen would not recognize him/his comic directly just because there’s a plethora of them on the internet. She would recognize Pokémon and would probably look at his profile/all his parody mashup videogame experiences like "…this give me Penny Arcade vibes tho".
